We had a pretty laid back day. It was too soon after Bri's surgery to be out doing too much. This morning we slept in, which was nice because Bri was up several times last night with incision pains. (She took the bandages off last night and I think it irritated her wounds.) This afternoon we went to the theater and saw Ice Age, which was really boring...thought it would never end! We love to go to family movies but this one was not good. Bri seemed to enjoy it...
Tonight we spent some time in our backyard hanging out, having a BBQ, building a fire and making smores. JT made the best ribs I have ever had, they were awesome.
This is the first year we have not bought fireworks and it was quite liberating. JT loves to buy a huge pack of fireworks and we spend the entire evening lighting fire to things...which I did miss because I am a pyromaniac...but not spending the money was nice.
It is always a great day when we can spend time together as a family!

I thought we were going to get away without buying any fireworks since we go to the "ultimate" show, but Brian just couldn't do it, he had to go buy some. I really only enjoy sparklers (lame, I know). Scott did his traditional "strap 50 together and try not to catch yourself on fire" trick...who knew sparklers could be so dangerous.
