I was excited to find a blogger app to be able to blog from my iPhone! I think this will make my blog actually be something I use again!
Last week I was called as the first counselor in our Young Women's presidency. Our first service activity that I went to was to help remove the summer flowers from Temple Square. It was a lot of fun and amazing to see those huge flower beds and absolutely NO weeds!!

Angry Birds
Earlier this summer we had a bird nest over the fence in the neighbor's yard, the birds were very protective of their nest and would literally dive bomb us whenever we went into the yard. They were very entertaining and the dogs love chasing them around. I only saw the babies once, every time I tried to see them after that they would dive at my head...
Summer 2011
We have had a very relaxing summer. It has been nice to have a break from work while Bri was off of school, but we were both ready to get back to a normal schedule once school was back in session. This summer our getaway was to Grand Teton and Yellowstone Parks. It is one of our favorite places and we love to camp at Colter Bay campground. We were there for a week and it was nice and relaxing, even with the dogs! We also had summer passes to Lagoon and usually got in one day a week of fun and rides. Bri had fun there with her cousins.

Women's Conference 2011
I had an amazing time at Women's Conference again this year. I always come away with a great attitude and ready to conquer the world, or at least my little corner of it. This year I went with friends from my ward, but also with my sister and my BEST friend. We had the best time, and we didn't stop talking the entire time we were together, except when we were listening to the presenters or sleeping! It was nice to share this time with my big sissy. (Hey Marf...maybe I should call you a cab...)
It was also a fun surprise to run into our cousin Julie. All the thousands of ladies attending and she was right in front of us during the last general session!
Easter
This year for Easter we went down and spent the day with my Dad and Elaine. It was a beautiful day. We told Bri that she was too old for an Easter egg hunt, but surprised her with a few eggs hidden in the yard. We had a nice time, it is always fun to spend time with Dad.

Weekly wanderings #16/2011
1. We are putting up a shed in our backyard and had a beautiful day Saturday to work on the base. Now we have to get the rain to subside enough to finish the job!
2. Phoebe has been so much fun...during the day... Once she figures out how to sleep all night it will make life much easier. She is so cute and Yeager is doing better with her around, he even plays with her quite well.
3. Bri had a fun time at her friend's birthday party. She has such a great group of friends that she enjoys hanging out with.

Welcome home Phoebe!
On Thursday we picked up Phoebe. We got her from the same breeder that Yeager came from, and they are in Mona. So we made the trek there and back and spent the rest of the day playing with her. She is so much fun. Yeager has been having a little bit more difficult time getting used to having her here, but he is getting much better each day. They now will play together and he doesn't have to stop every 30 seconds to sniff her. She sleeps all the time and cries in the night just like a new baby, but we will get past that stage within the next few weeks. I start back to work again tomorrow and she will have to be in her crate during the day when we are all gone, but I work close and will sneak home a few times each day to let her out, so hopefully potty training will continue to go well.
Breezy's 13th
We had a fun day for Bri's birthday, we got to go to Mona and pick up our new puppy. We had given her a few presents at her party last weekend so she was excited when we gave her a few more on the actual day of her birthday. Wow...she is a TEENAGER! I am so proud of my girlie and all that she has accomplished. She is a joy in my life and I am so happy I am her mom.
Happy Birthday Baby Girl!
Weekly wanderings #15/2011
1. SPRING BREAK! Bri and I were off of school all week. It was nice to relax and sleep in.
2. We got Phoebe this week. I will post my pics of her in a separate post, but can I say...ADORABLE!
3. Bri officially turned 13, and I now own a teenager. She is growing up in to a beautiful young woman.
4. Snow...prevented us from doing much out of doors for our break...prevented us from getting any yard work done...prevented us from getting our garden ready to plant...prevented us from successfully beginning potty training the new puppy the day we brought her home...I am so tired of the cold weather and am very ready for warm and sunshine.

Surprise!
I planned a surprise party for Bri's upcoming 13th birthday. Her friend wanted to kidnap her, so they snatched her and we went bowling, then back home for pizza, cake and ice cream, and they played her new Wii game, "Just Dance 2".
Fun time with fun friends!
Bubba too...
The day of Bri's party was also Yeager's birthday. He loved having the kids here and he acted like it was his party! And as always, he enjoyed opening his new presents!
Weekly wanderings #14/2011
1. This past week marked 12 years since my wonderful mother passed away. It seems like yesterday and a lifetime ago. I miss her every day. Love you mom, thanks for liking me best!
2. JT was out of town for a few days this past week, and I was trying to prepare a surprise party for Bri. It made it very difficult to bake and decorate her cake, because he was not around to distract her or take her away. I ended up baking after she went to bed on Wednesday, and decorating after she went to bed on Thursday. I think it turned out pretty cute.
3. Bri turns 13 this next week, but I wanted to have a surprise party for her when she would not expect it, and also since we are on spring break this week she had a few friends going out of town, so we wanted to do something before they left. So Friday was the day, and she had a fun time.

Weekly wanderings #13/2011
#1. We had Monday off in our school district and JT took the day off too. He and I spent the day looking for a new vehicle. I have been driving a 17 year old SUV and JT worries about me driving it any distance at all. We found a good deal on a Sequoia. It has pretty low miles and is in pristine condition. I love my new ride!
#2. I got registered for Women's Conference at BYU at the end of April. It was wonderful last year and I am really excited to go again.
#3. Yesterday our Colorado cousins traveled to JT's parents ward to have their youngest son baptized. We have not seen them since last summer and it was nice to spend the day together.
#4. Bri and I got our hair done this week. It is something I love, but don't take the time to do very often, so I end up with mousy hair because the color fades out!

Weekly wanderings #12/2011
#1. We have a new addition coming to our family. We are getting a puppy! See my other post.
#2. JT was gone for a few days this past week and we missed him a lot. We postponed our St. Patrick's day feast until today so we could all enjoy corned beef and cabbage together...YUM!
#3. Can I post that we had a boring week and have that count? SURE!

Meet Phoebe
Introducing our new puppy Phoebe! We are getting her from the same breeder we used when we got Yeager. We drove down and met her on Monday, but we can't bring her home until April 7th. She was 4 weeks old when we saw her, and she was TINY!
It will be interesting to see how Yeager reacts, but he likes other dogs (unless they are mean to him) so things should be fine.
Phoebe is the one on the right, this picture is with her sisters.

Weekly wanderings #10 & 11/2011
I was out of town last Sunday and missed my post, oops.
1. Last Sunday we attended the baby blessing of JT's nephew's new baby. He is the first great grandchild for JT's parents, and is such a cutie. We enjoyed spending the day with mom and dad and many of the family.
2. Last night and today was Stake Conference. We had Elder and Sister Fisher (of the Seventy) attend our meetings. They had such wonderful messages and were very enjoyable to hear from. I feel so much more prepared to begin my week and face my days with positivity and kindness. What more could I ask for!?!
3. For the last two weekends Bri spent time hanging out with a great group of friends. She is enjoying junior high so much. I am so glad she is having a good experience. I really hated junior high, too much girl drama!
4. JT was asked about two weeks ago to speak in the Priesthood Leadership Meeting of Stake Conference. He is very relieved to have that assignment completed and not have to stay up late every night preparing his talk. I heard he did a good job.

Weekly wanderings #9/2011
What a great week!
1. We had Monday off for President's Day and finished the final season of "24". What a fun and relaxing day!
2. Bri finished up her play last night. She had her final performance as a lead on Friday night. I am proud of all her hard work and dedication. It has been fun watching her self confidence grow and seeing her interact with her friends.
3. Wow, it seems like a busier week than that...but all I can say is I have seen "Fiddler on the Roof" SIX times in a week and a half...that makes it pretty busy!

Playing around
Bri found a fun website called Picnik where you can manipulate photos. She wanted me to play with it, so here you go: Cute girlie...
...and a pencil drawing of Bubba...cute as always!
Delightful
About five months ago we decided as a family that we needed to find a solution to keeping the kitchen clean. I would do the dishes in the evening and then all the dishes throughout the day would get piled into the sink until the next evening. We now have a rule that if you use a dish you have to put it into the dishwasher. If the dishwasher is full you have to run it. If the dishwasher is clean you have to empty it. We have had a perpetually clean kitchen for five months now and it makes me a VERY happy mom!
