Weekly wanderings #13/2011

#1. We had Monday off in our school district and JT took the day off too.  He and I spent the day looking for a new vehicle.  I have been driving a 17 year old SUV and JT worries about me driving it any distance at all.  We found a good deal on a Sequoia.  It has pretty low miles and is in pristine condition.  I love my new ride!
#2. I got registered for Women's Conference at BYU at the end of April.  It was wonderful last year and I am really excited to go again.
#3. Yesterday our Colorado cousins traveled to JT's parents ward to have their youngest son baptized.  We have not seen them since last summer and it was nice to spend the day together.
#4. Bri and I got our hair done this week.  It is something I love, but don't take the time to do very often, so I end up with mousy hair because the color fades out!

Weekly wanderings #12/2011

#1. We have a new addition coming to our family.  We are getting a puppy!  See my other post.
#2. JT was gone for a few days this past week and we missed him a lot.  We postponed our St. Patrick's day feast until today so we could all enjoy corned beef and cabbage together...YUM!
#3. Can I post that we had a boring week and have that count?  SURE!

Meet Phoebe

Introducing our new puppy Phoebe!  We are getting her from the same breeder we used when we got Yeager.  We drove down and met her on Monday, but we can't bring her home until April 7th.  She was 4 weeks old when we saw her, and she was TINY!
It will be interesting to see how Yeager reacts, but he likes other dogs (unless they are mean to him) so things should be fine.

Phoebe is the one on the right, this picture is with her sisters.

Weekly wanderings #10 & 11/2011

I was out of town  last Sunday and missed my post, oops.
1. Last Sunday we attended the baby blessing of JT's nephew's new baby.  He is the first great grandchild for JT's parents, and is such a cutie.  We enjoyed spending the day with mom and dad and many of the family.
2. Last night and today was Stake Conference.  We had Elder and Sister Fisher (of the Seventy) attend our meetings.  They had such wonderful messages and were very enjoyable to hear from.  I feel so much more prepared to begin my week and face my days with positivity and kindness.  What more could I ask for!?!
3. For the last two weekends Bri spent time hanging out with a great group of friends.  She is enjoying junior high so much.  I am so glad she is having a good experience.  I really hated junior high, too much girl drama!
4. JT was asked about two weeks ago to speak in the Priesthood Leadership Meeting of Stake Conference.  He is very relieved to have that assignment completed and not have to stay up late every night preparing his talk. I heard he did a good job.
