Lazy weekend

We have had a very lazy weekend. Bri spent Friday night at a friend's house and JT and I got to have a date night. We went to dinner and then to the movies and saw "I Am Legend". It was a really good movie, even though it stressed me out, there always seemed to be something lurking in the shadows!

On Saturday we went shopping and I got a cute new outfit for church. Last week I got some new black boots with pointy heels and 4 inch stiletto heels. They make me about 6 feet 3 inches tall! A sister in relief society today told me she thought I looked "sassy". I don't know if that is the look I was going for, but either way I like my new outfit.

JT is still doing at home training for his new job. He will soon be gone for a trip for one week and then two weeks for training. I don't look forward to his trips, but the sooner it is over the better, then we can get back into a normal routine again.

Those were the days

I was out today and found a calendar which has a photo of France for every day. I had to buy it. I love anything about France. When I was 18 I got to spend a month there and travel to many parts of that beautiful country.

JT promised me when we first started dating that he would take me back there someday. I am going to hold him to that! We may be old and gray before we get to take that trip!

The Frozen North!

We decided to take a quick trip to Rexburg and visit the openhouse for the new Rexburg Temple. Bri has always wanted to see inside a temple and this was the perfect opportunity for her to do that. We took a risk by going up without tickets, but they were not turning anyone away and we got in with no problem at all. It is a beautiful temple and was a wonderful experiencing being able to see Bri as she saw all the things we had told her about.

We also took some time to play while we were there and took in a few games of bowling ( I even hit a strike!) and went shopping at the mall in Idaho Falls. Old Navy had some great deals, I love that store! (I got a cute new coat for only $10.00.)

We even survived the cold. Bri didn't think it necessary to wear her gloves while we were standing in line outside of the temple, but I am a mean mom and made her wear them anyway. By the time we got inside she was frozen and I am sure deep down she appreciated the gloves!

Missing JT

Bri and I are missing JT tonight. He started a new job this week and had to go to California for a few days. It is a good job and we are happy with the company. He will be selling diabetes monitors instead of pharmaceuticals.

Bri had piano lessons today, she is doing good. Her teacher gave her a new song that is an arrangement of chop sticks, she apologized to me and said that it will probably be one of those irritating songs that she will always want to play, but I did the same thing to my mom! I loved to play The Entertainer over and over and over and over.

I have had a lot going on for relief society this week. Sickness, pregnancies, injuries. It is amazing how things all hit at the same time. Things have been relatively status quo for quite some time and then in December and January a lot has happened. I am grateful for my calling and glad that I can be of service to those in our ward.

Fun in the snow

This is a snowman that Bri and JT built, it looked more like a totem pole and it ended up tipping over after about an hour. But it was fun to build.

Yeager is staring at me

My dog is staring at me, but I am pretty sure all he wants is my snack.
