New blog
I don't cook a lot, but I want to do better. I decided that since I have a new laptop that will mostly live in my kitchen it would be nice to have my recipes on the computer. I decided to create a blog with my favorite recipes on it, which will be mostly for my own use, but it is available to anyone who wants to check it out! Happy cooking! :) www.cookingwithlm.blogspot.com

Christmas 2009
Back to blogging!
I have been without a computer since October and for Christmas JT got me a new laptop that is all for me! I am excited to be able to be on the computer anywhere in the house and not have to be in the corner of the basement. Hopefully soon I will be able to recover the last years worth of photos off of our old hard drive and be able to load them onto my new computer. Then all of my computer stress will be gone. :)
My goal is to blog at least once a week. We will see how that goes!

mmmm....
Student Council Leadership Conference
I am in charge of the Student Council at work. I took them to BYU for a leadership conference at the beginning of November. While we were there Bri ran into her best friend from 2nd grade. He moved after that school year and they haven't seen each other since. The kids had a great time, and it was fun for me too!

Still no computer.
I have to apologize for not blogging. I have so much to say but no computer to say it on. I am currently on JT's work laptop that I can jump on sometimes. Our computer broke down about a month ago and we are still trying to decide what to do about it. My vote is for us each to have a laptop, but then we would not have a desktop for Bri to use too. Too many decisions. So for now we are taking our time and it is driving me crazy!
I have a ton of posts to catch up on, but for now I will just say that we are doing well. We are going to drive to Colorado for Thanksgiving and spend time with JT's brother and his family. We are very excited and looking forward to our visit.
As soon as I have my pictures available I will post everything that we have been doing.

Bold and Beautiful
We have been wanting to make a change to the color of our family room and it has taken us 2-1/2 years to get the guts to actually do it...but the result is great and I love my new ORANGE family room. (I must be a true Thunderbird!) We did the hallway the same beige as the upstairs so it would match from the entryway.
We also worked a little on Bri's room. She has been wanting a bigger bed and we were able to get a queen size bed from a neighbor. She loves her new "grown up" bedroom!

My husband is a LOSER!
In fact, he is the BIGGEST LOSER! He and his friends had a contest over the last six months to see who could lose the most body fat percent. JT worked his tail off...literally! He lost 9% of his body fat. He looks great and feels great. Way to go JT!
Crazy mom...
Who's the crazy mom? I AM! I have been very firm in my stance of NO RODENTS at my house. I don't like stinky pets and I don't want something that could potentially get loose and live in my walls. Well, apparently bunnies don't count! JT has a friend with a "farm". He has chickens, horses, turkeys, goats and BUNNIES. He offered us a free cage and a bunny, singular. I relented and Bri was ecstatic. We went over tonight to pick IT up and after talking with said friend, decided that two could keep each other company and keep each other warm in the winter...two bunnies... Yeah, I am crazy.
They are actually very cute and don't get too big when they are full grown. Bri named one Hossenfeffer. The other is "mine" and I think I am going to name it Lilly. JT wanted them to be named Hoss and Feffer, but I don't like names that when one dies the other doesn't make sense, and who wants a bunny named Feffer?!? :)
I am reminded of a post that Marf (my sister) made on her blog about a year ago. Apparently by getting bunnies I am actually adding to my food storage! Check out her post: http://momlikesmebest.blogspot.com/2008/09/whats-for-dinner.html
Smiles just don't get much bigger than that! Ok, maybe I am a good mom too... :)
