Okay, here are 100 things about me for my 100th post...
1. I am the youngest of six children, my oldest sister is 23 years older than I am and was married and had my nephew before I was born.
2. My mom and dad lived in Virginia when I was born and they didn't tell my grandparents that mom was expecting. They came home to visit when she was seven months pregnant and surprised them...SURPRISE! (She was 43 years old!)
3. My sister is my best friend, even though I didn't have a super close relationship with her until I was in college.
4. In college I failed a pottery class because I couldn't manipulate the clay with my long fingernails and I refused to cut them.
5. I love to collect perfume bottles and small bottles. I also started collecting spoons when we travel.
6. I feel guilty because we had a Boston Terrier when Bri was 2 years old. She was a very difficult puppy and I couldn't handle her. We sold the dog to a couple who called the next day and said they had made a huge mistake and they couldn't handle a puppy and we would not take her back.
7. In high school my mom always told me to "wink at the boys" and I was mortified by the thought of this. I was too shy to even talk to them, let alone wink at them. When I first met JT he was on his mission and I could not really talk with him or flirt with him, so one day I winked at him. I joked with mom after we got married that she should be glad I didn't wink at the boys in high school because I married the first guy that I winked at.
8. I had a roommate in college that made me fear for my life. My other roomies overheard her one night saying "that idiot L...M..." in a psycho voice. They made me sleep on the floor of their bedroom with the door blocked for the next week until things seemed settled down.
9. I was at Ricks College for three years when it was only a two year college. I had no idea what I wanted to do the first year and by the time I figured it out I had to start all over with my classes because I had not taken any classes that I needed for my degree.
10. During my three years at college I had 22 different roommates. My first place was a house with 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, one shower and 12 girls. There were 4 girls in my room.
11. I never had to share a room while growing up.
12. JT and I worked for an airline doing reservations after we were married. We had flight benefits and flew to San Francisco once just for the day. We took an early flight, spent the day sightseeing, and took the late flight back that night.
13. On that trip we walked around SF for the entire day carrying a camera and only took one picture of a cable car. Neither one of us is in the picture.
14. In high school I was in the Dance Company my senior year. I didn't plan out my credits very well and needed PE credits. The only class that would fit into my schedule was the Dance Company and the teacher was pretty upset to have me there because I couldn't really dance and everyone else in the class had to try out to be there. But I was able to be with my best friend and we had a very fun year! By the second semester she had "try outs" for me and let me stay.
15. In college I loved to go dancing and would spend as much time as possible at the local dance clubs. (Galleria anyone??)
16. When JT and I were in college and dating he worked at a convenience store part-time. Every time I called him I would ask if they had Batman in. It got to be a big joke for us. I would even get my roomies to call and disguise their voices to ask if Batman was in.
17. I broke my leg when I was 3 years old. I had been riding my tricycle with the handlebars backwards and I remember going fast and my foot slipping and getting caught between the spokes and the pedal. It wasn't until nearly 30 years later when I found out that my older brother (who was 13 at the time) was running behind me pushing me as fast as he could!
18. Breaking my leg is my earliest memory.
19. My dad had a side business when I was little and he would put displays in stores and sell candy. We would all sit around the kitchen table putting candy from big boxes into cute jars and sealing them shut. I loved going around to the stores with him and stocking the racks.
20. Because of the candy business we had a huge supply of candy under our stairs. I would sneak down there and pig out all of the time. (My favorites were the raspberry candies and the chicken bones).
21. I have a thing for office supplies. Any time JT gets a new shipment of pens, post-it pads, etc., I always raid them and take a few for myself. I have a whole shelf full of supplies and I worry about what I will do if I run out of my favorites.
22. I worked for the Church before I had Bri and my office was in a church house. One morning when I got there I found a mess in my office and broken glass everywhere. The thief had taken my computer and messed up all of my stuff. I was a little afraid to be in the building alone after that. (We had a radio system and the guys would check in with me all of the time.)
23. I have typed for so long that sometimes when I am having a conversation with someone I start typing what they are saying in my mind.
24. I think I have an addiction to Chap-Stik. I have one in almost every room of my house, my purse, my desk at work, and extras in case I run out.
25. I also have an addiction to Q-tips. I clean out my ears at least three times a day. It was worse when I was listening to a headset all day.
26. I had a very skewed body image when I was in college and my early 20's and when I got married I weighed about 50 pounds less than I do right now.
27. I sucked my thumb until I was 11 years old, but just at night as I got older. My dad tried everything to get me to quit, he would tape all my fingers together, slather gross tasting things on my skin, tape Popsicle sticks and gloves to my hands. Nothing seemed to work until it was my decision to stop.
28. I hate green peppers and it is the only food that I will pick out of something.
29. I sometimes wish I had known that my pregnancy with Bri would be my only one so that I could have enjoyed it so much more. I absolutely loved being pregnant.
30. I would much rather have candy that is chewy and fruity than chocolate.
31. I wrote in my journal almost every day throughout high school and my first year of college. It was about the time that I met JT that I stopped writing and have not written very often since then. That was 19 years ago.
32. I love to blog because I feel like it is a type of journal. :)
33. I enjoy doing laundry.
34. My family likes to name pets after each other, we had two dogs named Heidi and two birds named Budgie!
35. I think this is why I like to think of different names for my pets. I don't like the usual pet sounding names. My favorite fish name was Algernon, we called him Algae for short!
36. My dad took my dog Heidi to the animal shelter because my mom was alone with her all day and couldn't get up and down to take her out. The day they took her away I didn't know what had happened and walked around the block several times crying and looking for her. When I came home mom and dad were in tears and had to tell me what they had done.
37. My favorite perfume is Arielle by Fragonard.
38. I went to the Fragonard perfume factory while I was on my trip to France.
39. I heard as a child that rheumatoid arthritis could be caused by pregnancy and my mom was diagnosed with this when I was a year old. I felt that I had caused my mom's disease until well into my adult years.
40. I am generally a happy person and tend to see the good in life. My husband has commented that I am happy first thing in the morning and last thing at night, even when I am tired.
41. I love to move furniture around. When I had my own apartment I moved the furniture around at least once a week. I am not able to move things around much in our home now and it sometimes drives me crazy.
42. I once hit a squirrel with my car and it made me cry.
43. My family never had professional photos taken with just the siblings and my parents once I was born. We once had a photograph taken with everyone, including in-laws and grandchildren, but never just us kids with mom and dad.
44. When I was little we visited a cemetery and I saw a headstone of a relative named Emmadell. As a child I always talked about that being my favorite name and wanting to give that name to my own child. My mom was disappointed when I had Bri and didn't give her my "favorite name".
45. I never had a boyfriend until one month before I graduated high school. I went to France the day after graduation and while I was gone I decided that I liked the idea of a boyfriend, but I didn't really like him. I broke up with him the day I got back from my trip.
46. My next boyfriend was after I got to college and he was so much fun to be with and I really liked him. When he broke up with me it broke my heart.
47. I like to wear rings on my toes.
48. I always have my toenails painted, usually a dark color.
49. I sunburn very easily and it took me years to learn that sun block is my friend.
50. I love liver.
51. I save Coke Points.
52. When I go to bed I have to have a pillow under my arm so that my hands don't fall asleep.
53. I graduated college with a degree in Fashion Merchandising.
54. I have had carpal tunnel surgery on both of my hands.
55. I also had seven laparoscopic surgeries for endometriosis before finally having a hysterectomy.
56. My favorite book is "Coming Home" by Rosamund Pilcher.
57. My husband calls me Boo, which is short for Booper. He started calling me this when we first started dating.
58. My dad called me Binky when I was little.
59. I was afraid to go into our basement when I was little because my older brother and sister told me that there was a boogy man down there. I had a room downstairs as a teen, but wouldn't go down there if my parents were not home.
60. I love to organize things, but you would never be able to tell based on what my office looks like right now.
61. I knew about the only surprise party I ever had. I overheard my mom planning it. It was for my 15th birthday.
62. I love to save old clothes just because I think it is fun to see the old styles that I used to wear.
63. JT and I never had professional pictures taken for our wedding. It is one of our biggest regrets.
64. In high school my hair was shorter than most of the boys. I have never had a cut that short since, and probably never will.
65. When I was 16 I was in such a hurry to get out of the garage that I backed into my sister's car. It did nothing to her car but made a small ding in my dad's bumper.
66. When I was 15 I told my dad that I didn't like the car he was going to let me drive and right before I turned 16 he traded it in for one that I liked better.
67. I enjoy fishing with JT and Bri. I just don't like taking out the hook and JT has to clean the fish. :)
68. While in France I had a crush on the cutest French guy, but I didn't know French well enough to talk to him much and he didn't know English very well. It was while I spent a week with a French family and he was a schoolmate of the girl I was staying with.
69. I once hiked to the top of the mountain by where I lived. It was a great accomplishment for me.
70. I helped my sister design my wedding dress and she made it for me. I spent hours beading and it turned out beautiful.
71. I wrote a letter to myself when I served in a Young Women's presidency about 13 years ago. It is sealed up in an envelope and I don't know when to open it. The girls were to open theirs after they graduated high school...
72. I never saw many movies when I was a child. JT always teases me that I was a "deprived child". I still have never seen Mary Poppins.
73. I don't have a middle name and always wished that I did.
74. Growing up we had a motorhome that looked like a giant marshmallow driving down the road. Everything squeaked and rattled inside. I loved going on road trips with my parents. It was also a fun playhouse in the yard when my dad would let me play in it.
75. I like snakes, but don't like lizards. (The creepy crawly ones...not you Lizzy!)
76. I have my own Nintendo DS and play with it almost as much as my daughter plays with hers. JT has his own too.
77. I was in an LDS sorority in college, Lambda Delta Sigma. I was the rush officer.
78. I don't like water on my face when I shower or when I am in the swimming pool. I keep a towel handy to constantly wipe my face.
79. I used to be able to cram a pencil between my two front teeth.
80. My favorite Barbie dolls were my Donny and Marie dolls...I still have them.
81. My grandma had a creepy basement with a large trunk in the corner. I thought it was a coffin.
82. My first job, besides babysitting, was working as a custodian at an elementary school. I worked there with my best friend and we had way too much fun! My dad made me quit my senior because my grades were slipping.
83. I had a primary teacher who moved away, every summer from age of 12 to 17 she would come home to visit her family and invite all of the teenage girls in our ward to her parents home for the weekend to play in their pool and have fun.
84. When we were picking living room furniture my husband let me pick the couches. He didn't really like them and had chosen something else. After about a year I decided he was right and I wish we had picked his choice. Anyone want to buy some floral couches?
85. I had never taught adults at church until I was called as the Relief Society president. I had to teach about two weeks after I was called and was so nervous I made my sister come and help me teach the lesson. In fairness, we were both teaching in our own wards that day so I helped her teach at her ward too. Now it isn't as big of a problem. I have to teach next week...maybe it is still a problem. : )
86. I used to exercise a lot when I was in high school and college. I would go walking and workout at the gym. I miss it, but apparently not enough to change my lazy ways!
87. I love lavender.
88. I am not a very good cook, and I don't really like to cook or bake.
89. I wore extreme blue eyeshadow as a teen...but my excuse is that it was the 80's!
90. My husband started calling me by the first half of my name when we started dating and my mom was appalled that he would do that. It sounds funny if he calls me by my full name, sometimes he will do it just to be silly.
91. If introduce myself to someone with my full name and they shorten it themselves it really bothers me. I think people should call me what I tell them to call me until they get to know me better, after that I don't care. : )
92. I had to have 14 teeth pulled prior to getting braces on. Some of them were baby teeth, most were permanent teeth. I had huge gaps in my mouth while the new teeth were growing back in.
93. I still have my wisdom teeth.
94. I love power tools. We just bought a table saw and I was so excited to be able to saw anything at anytime!
95. My dad never let me mow the lawn when I was growing up, even though I really wanted to. I didn't mow the lawn by myself until about 3 years ago.
96. I have never been downhill snow skiing. I went cross-country skiing once in college and water skiing once when I was a teen.
97. I have a hard time getting rid of things, we have boxes and boxes of Bri's things because I want her to have the choice of what she wants to hang on to when she grows up. I have things from my youth that I wish I had but they got thrown out when I moved away.
98. My mom and dad gave me my grandmother's antique radio because when I was a teen she lived with us for a year before she passed away and I did a lot to care for her. It is one of my prized possessions.
99. It has taken me over two weeks to think of things for this post. I think I am a pretty boring person.
100. I love being a wife and mother.

That was fun. Neil was sitting beside me while I wrote it, and he said that he didn't think he could write 100 things about him. It's just challenging, because that's a lot. You're not boring though, and that was fun.
Glad you like me too.
Which after I got done reading, Neil asked me if I had told you that he hates Nana's green chair and with Aaliyah we don't have a spot for it anymore :( He respects that you want to keep it in the family though, so he hasn't gotten rid of it yet. Do you want it back so you can have a piece of furniture to shuffle around?
I liked the 100 things for the 100th blog too.
I can't imagine you 50 pounds lighter. My grandma likes liver. I didn't mow the lawn by myself until 2 years ago too. Chewy fruit candies ARE better than chocolate. Here's to your 100!
You're so not boring! Not only are you my favorite aunt, you've also been very influential (I think it's wonderfully ironic that you've also hit a car in a driveway). You're wonderful!
I loved reading that!!!!! So fun! I remember your long fingernails, the candy store, and I also type sometimes when I am talking or listening to someone. Strange habit, huh! That was not at all boring. I was challenged with the same 100 things forever ago. Some day I will start on it! Maybe!
