Wow, what a beautiful GARAGE you have...

I spent most of Friday and Saturday working in my garage. I have been wanting to repaint it since we moved into this house over a year ago. It had been painted but I wanted it to look fresh and nice. I took on this project by myself while JT worked on the yard and fixed some issues with the sprinkler system. I am 90 % done, I only have to paint the door into the house and the ceiling above the garage door, but it was too blasted hot to have the garage door down to paint there, so that will have to wait until the cooler fall weather.

I just loaded and looked at the before and after pictures, and it doesn't really show how bad the walls looked, they were covered with marks, smudges, smears, scratches, holes and duct tape. I just want to be able to dirty our own walls and if there is a smudge then I know what it is and how it got there! While working so hard in the garage I also rearranged things, organized all of our junk and cut a new piece of carpeting for the front of the garage.

In the photos you can see my favorite thing in the garage, the extra refrigerator. You may ask, "do you cook so much that you need this for all the yummy meals you have made". NO! Or you may think that I plan out every meal and have the freezer stocked with every necessary item to prepare something tasty and nutritional for my family. NO! I keep it filled with POPSICLES and SODA!!! If I get down to only two boxes of soda I start to freak out and stress about where I am going to find soda fridge packs 5 for $12.00!

It is so nice to go out and grab a soda in my BEAUTIFUL garage...plus I love the smell of fresh paint! (Becka and Liz...don't sniff things!)

I hope you did your painting with the door open, painting in unventilated rooms is what a huffer would do, and I know you're better than that. (P.S. my office area smells like spray paint today...glorious).

This is why I love blogging. Thanks for the guidance. Neil and I are supposed to tackle the garage tonight. I think it's impossible and his job because I stick all the things he leaves in the house in the garage. Your's is super beautiful. Good job on the painting. I had no idea that people paint their garages. I noticed on Friday that a couple up the street painted theirs brown and I thought how odd. I guess not though :)
