After a few years of painful abdominal pains, multiple medicines that did nothing, way too many missed days of school, church, music lessons, etc., multiple abdominal x-rays, specialized diets, an upper and lower GI that showed everything normal...(and her first IV that scared her more than the procedure)...
Allergy testing that was all negative...(more needles...not a good day)...
followed by a gallbladder ultrasound that showed no gallstones...
and a HIDA scan to check her gallbladder function...(and yet another IV)...

we finally found that it is Bri's gallbladder that is not functioning properly and causing her pains. We are glad for the diagnosis and feel blessed to know what the problem is. We now have to wait until Wednesday to find out about the diagnosis and decide what to do. I am hoping that we can just have it removed and let her start feeling better...it has been a long road.

So glad you've got an answer for this! I know it's been a long time problem.

I'm so sorry - that's no fun! Looks like she was a trooper through it all though! Hopefully she can just have it removed and get on with feeling better! I had mine out last June and it's been great!! Keep us posted!

I think that is it always better to know what is wrong and then be able to move on from there...the unknown is ALWAYS very frustrating and long. I am glad they figured out the problem...now hopefully it won't take them long to fix it!

I am sorry to hear about this. What has the outcome been?
