I have been very excited about the new unit I am doing with the kids in SEM. I am having them design and make their own board game. The main point of the project is to communicate how to play the game. When they are done they will play their games with each other, then we will switch classes and play the games of another group of students to see if we can understand their instructions and play their game.
Thanks to my brother Russ, who has a basement full of board games that he sells, I was able to have some game boards to decorate around my room. It is very colorful and gets the students ideas flowing.
I also made my own board game. I am encouraging the students to pick a theme for their game, mine is......SODA! I called it SODALICIOUS!
The students seem to be very excited about this unit, and so am I!

You are so creative - I want to learn how to play your game! Let's have a game night sometime with the "girls"
I am excited to ask Jared about it and see what his group is coming up with!!
Oh my gosh! That is the cutest thing I've ever seen! You are perfect for this job. I want to hear about what they come up with. Maybe I'll get my students in the action too.
