Fun field trip

Bri had always been on year-round school schedules since pre-school. This 2007 to 2008 school year we got a new school built near our home and it is a traditional school schedule, but the only thing is that the school was not completed when the school year started. Last summer she went from A track, getting out at the beginning of June, to our revised school year which didn't start until October 1st, that's right...we had a FOUR month summer...WAY too long! Anyway, the reason for this rant is that she is still in school and today I got to go with her grade on a field trip to Salt Lake. They got to tour the Salt Lake City Library, what a cool place! I wish it was closer to us.

We also went to the International Peace Gardens

and Liberty Park for lunch and to get wet in the fountains. It was a chilly day so thankfully Bri did not want to get wet and she and her friend Briana (Bri and Bri) had fun playing at the playground and running around.

We had a really fun day and are looking forward to summer break beginning in another two weeks!

I have never heard of the International Peace Gardens. Where is it? I would love to take my kids this summer! Looks like you had a fun field trip.

Jodi- The International Peace Gardens are at 1000 S 900 W in Salt Lake. It is inside the Jordan Park and it is not super exciting but has many areas representing different countries around the world. The flowers have not been planted yet, I bet in a month it will be even more beautiful.
