Our relief society was given the option of making six quilts for the Humanitarian Services. I have spent the last week stressing about getting them done on time, by next Friday. I have been stressing for no reason, we have such wonderful sisters in our ward that have really stepped up to help give service. We got four tied in two days and only have two more to tie next week. I also have had many offers to bind the edges, so no more stress!
Wednesday Marf and I went to our Uncle Melvin's funeral. It was a nice service. Dad and Elaine came up for the funeral and took us to McDonald's for lunch after. They are so funny, they eat at McDonald's for lunch EVERY DAY! Dad says that since he got to retire from working so should she, so they have cold cereal for breakfast, McDonald's for lunch and canned soup or a sandwich for dinner. Sounds like a plan to me....when can I retire!?! (Oh well, I don't really cook that often anyway!)
Yesterday Bri had a field trip to Antelope Island. Her only experience going there was a few years ago when we went with her cousins. It was a very hot day and for some wierd reason there were the biggest spiders I have ever seen, and they were EVERYWHERE! She was not very excited about this field trip but she always wants me to volunteer to go with her class on field trips, so because I was going she did not have a choice. The day ended up being perfect. I didn't see any bugs at all, not even mosquitos. We were at the ranch that is on the South East side of the island and it was like being in a park, huge trees for shade, a big grassy open area for games and lunch. They got to go on a short walk around the wetlands then had stations where they learned pioneer games and different aspects of early life in Utah. She had a really fun day and later apologized for being such a stinker about not wanting to go. I miss the fact that we don't have more children, but it makes it that much easlier when things like this come up and I don't have to worry about what to do with other children when I spend the day with Bri. We had a great day.
JT is working really hard and will hopefully see his territory prosper. He is such a wonderful husband and a hard working man. We really appreciate all he does for us.

I am sorry to hear that Uncle Melvin passed away. I remember that fun trip we took in "the marshmallow" through southern Utah with them. Good times. Good times. :)
I have never been to Antelope Island..that I can remember. We went there to "float" when I was little, so maybe we went to the island too and I just can't remember. Sounds like fun and I should take the kids up there this summer!
You have been so busy and didn't get to scrap. Shame on you :( I posted on my page what I worked on. You have to go see. I think now the Cricut is my favorite home decorating tool! I love that picture of Grandma. I still remember the shock from that chicken laying that egg.
