Ward Campout

Our ward campout was up Ogden Canyon again this year, we went to a fun campground that has a river next to it where Bri was able to swim and have some fun.  JT was busy this year and couldn't come, so Breezy and  I went and hung out with our ward family without him.  I decided I didn't want to bother with a tent and so we slept in the back of our Jeep.  I thought it was going to be a tight squeeze, but we ended up having plenty of room, and plenty of length too!  We love where we live and love our neighbors.  It was a fun time.

Eighteen Years and counting!

While we were in Zions we celebrated our 18th wedding anniversary. It was total coincidence that we stopped through there on our honeymoon too! (Actually, that is the last time we were in Zions, it is a shame to be away from such a beautiful place for so long!)
We had fun celebrating our anniversary with Bri, it was a fun day!

We had a fun family trip to St. George and Southern Utah. Most of our time was spent out of doors either hiking or biking. We bought new bikes last fall and this was the first time we have taken them on more than just a city bike trail, which was really fun. It was nice to be out of town and be able to spend some time together as a family.
Hanging gardens in Zions
Hiking in the Narrows of Zions

I liked this because we look like pirates!

Hiking in Zions again, this time to the Emerald Pools

And a stop at the St. George Temple,
what a beautiful place!
Happy 4th of July
And a fun shot to add to my Coke collection...
a Coke bollard!

Braces...again

Bri got her Phase 2 set of braces put on yesterday. She had Phase 1 when she was 8 and wore them for about 15 months. This set is also for 15 months. She has very sore teeth for a few days, but is getting used to them quickly. I talked with our orthodontist about having a reversal and giving her back her buck teeth for a few more years. I think it might be a good idea because I don't think I am quite ready for my baby to be so beautiful!

Great post from my sis's blog

Marf posted this, it is definitely worth reading. Thanks sis, you are my spark too!

Another new blog

Just a little taste of my newest project: My grandfather passed away when I was 18 years old and I have been given some of his journals and boxes of photographs. This summer I want to work on typing them for my family to have access to. I decided that if I put them into blog format then they can be easily accessed. I will also have them saved as a Word document if anyone wants me to email them at any point. I also plan to upload photographs as I get them scanned into my computer.

Enjoy! http://kndurrant.blogspot.com/

"Life History of Kenneth Norwood Durrant.

Son of Lorenzo Heber Durrant and Sarah Jane Norwood. Born at Porterville, Morgan Co, Utah on the 28th day of March 1903. This record being commenced Feb. 25, 1952 at Heber City Utah. Having lived almost 49 years and knowing that my life must be at least half over I feel that I should put in writing, for future generations, a few of the things that have happened in my life. I suppose one of the things that has inspired me to do this more than anything else is the fact that when my father died on 29 of June 1951 all of his records fell into my hands, and the things that he told about himself were the things that I enjoyed the most, and were of the most worth to me. I found there no record of his life, as I intend to make here, but just little sketches in notebooks and on pieces of paper. And I have hungered for a more complete record of his, and my mothers, lives. They were so full and accomplished so much more than I will ever have to tell here but I feel that what little I have should be preserved."

Better late than never

We spent Saturday getting the garden in. Between JT being gone and the cold weather we have not had a chance until now. Hopefully all of the yummy things we planted will grow super fast!

Memorial Day 2010

We took a quick trip to Heber after church today to visit my mom's grave and take some flowers. I am so grateful for the gospel and my knowledge that I will be able to be with her again.
I miss you mom. Thanks for liking me best. :)
This was on Memorial Day in 2004.

Dig It

The 6th grade did a play called "Dig It". Sabrina had a talking part and was Imhotep. She also had a solo singing part, which was very cute. I have a video that I cannot get to load, so you are going to have to trust me that she did a good job. She was such a cute Egyptian!
